HS Code Fix scans your whole Shopify catalog, shows what customs forms will reject, suggests a 6-digit HS code from the official tariff list for each gap, and writes the ones you approve to Shopify's own customs fields — in bulk, with undo.

It suggests. You decide. On 23 September 2026 we ran 100 real products from public Shopify stores (clothing, food, homeware, electronics) through the app's own classifier and checked every code by hand against the official tariff. It gave no code for 5 of them. Of the 95 codes it did give, 55% were not the best code, and 45% were wrong even counting every code a careful person could defend. Roughly half, in other words. That is why nothing is ever ticked or applied for you. What it can't do.

Why now

The United States ended the $800 de-minimis exemption on 29 August 2025 and the EU's new low-value parcel duty applies from 1 July 2026. Parcels without a valid HS code and country of origin get held, surcharged or returned. Shopify only fills customs forms from the fields you've filled in.

What it does

• Scan. Every product and variant, checked for HS code, country of origin and weight.
• Suggest. A 6-digit HS code for each product, with the official heading text beside it, validated against the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule so the app never writes a code that doesn't exist.
• Fix. Approve one, or all, and the app writes to Shopify's native customs fields — the ones carriers and Shopify Shipping actually read. Undo any batch.
• Set origin in bulk. Pick the country your products were made in and write it to every product that's missing one. The app never guesses this — only you know it.

Pricing

Billed through Shopify on your normal Shopify invoice. Switch plans or cancel any time from Manage plan inside the app — no email, no reinstall.
